Steps on how to grow orchids
First, choose basin soil.
When planting orchids, you can choose purple sand basin or mud basin, which has good air permeability and is not easy to accumulate water, which is beneficial to plant growth. The soil can be made of coarse sand, charcoal, pebbles or cinder. Be sure to make sure that it is breathable, moisturized and ventilated.
Second, clean up the orchid plant
Clean the roots of the plant before planting and cut off the diseased and rotten roots with a sterilized knife. Then clean up the decaying leaf beetles and be careful not to damage the leaf buds and bud points. In addition, the leaves with diseased spots should also be trimmed to avoid later infection of the plant.
3. Planting in pots
After cleaning up the plants, they can be planted in pots. Before putting on the basin, use plant material to cushion the basin to achieve the effect of ventilation and hydrophobicity, then put the orchid seedlings into the basin to allow the roots to stretch completely, and then carefully put the prepared plant material into it. When you put it, you should shake the flowerpot frequently so that the root system is in full contact with the plant material, and the plant material does not have to be too deep. It is necessary to expose the false bulb and cover it to facilitate the germination of orchid buds.
IV. Pavement maintenance
If the weather is sunny and the root system is good after planting, you can immediately irrigate the fixed root water. If the root system is damaged, it should be irrigated every two days, and be careful not to accumulate water. After the plant is stereotyped, ceramsite or stone can be used to spread on the basin surface, which can not only keep moisture and warmth, but also improve ornamental.
