Porcine pseudorabies is an acute infectious disease caused by pseudorabies virus. It does great harm to large-scale farms. Pigs can be infected at all stages of pig farms, and there are great differences in clinical manifestations among pigs of different ages. Pseudorabies virus mainly affects the central nervous system and respiratory system of pigs.

(1) Clinical symptoms

Lactating pigs: at the beginning, suckling pigs showed fatigue, anorexia and fever. And then show neurological symptoms such as tremor, angular arch dilatation. Some pigs are paralyzed in the hindlimb like a dog, some turn in circles or lie on their sides to do paddling exercise, and some vomit and diarrhea. The symptoms are similar to those of Streptococcus encephalitis. Morbidity and mortality are as high as 100%.

Nursing pigs: in addition to a small number of mental symptoms, pigs also have respiratory symptoms. High fever, sneezing, dyspnea, weight loss. These symptoms can last for 10 days, but can be cured when the body temperature and appetite are normal. General death with neurological symptoms, secondary infection with respiratory symptoms, pig lung disease or pleuropneumonia generally die faster. The older the age, the lower the mortality.

Fattening pigs: the morbidity can reach 100%, and the mortality rate of simple infection is 1-2%. Sick pigs show sneezing, dyspnea, high fever, anorexia, poor mental health, and individual muscle tremors. The cure rate of this kind of pig is not high. The clinical appearance of unknown high fever and the inefficacy of antibiotic treatment can consider the mixed sensation of pseudo-rabid dogs.

(2) pathological changes

Common tonsil necrosis, swelling and bleeding of lymph nodes in oral cavity and respiratory tract, pulmonary edema, scattered necrotic foci or bleeding spots on the surface of lungs, and sometimes white necrotic spots on the surface of spleen, liver and kidney.

(III) Prevention programmes

1. Anti-virus and prevent secondary infection of lung disease or pleuropneumonia:

Jinjinuo + Danone + red mixture for 5-7 days, vitamin mixture for 7 days to improve immunity and supplement vitamins.

2. To establish a reasonable immunization procedure:
