Taipei Agricultural Company (referred to as Beinong) officially launched the "real name system" for fruit and vegetable auctions on July 1 this year, and matched with the pesticide inspection method "mass spectrometry rapid inspection" developed by the Drug Poison Testing Institute. All fruits and vegetables sent for auction must provide the complete ID number of the supplier. If they are not provided, they will not be auctioned. Mass spectrometry rapid inspection can accurately detect 192 kinds of pesticides commonly used in China within half an hour. After the fruits and vegetables are sent for auction on the same day, the results will be known before the auction in the early morning of the next day. The unqualified fruits and vegetables sampled every day will also be destroyed on the same day.

"Mass spectrum quick inspection and real-name system can know who violated the rules. Farmers will be more cautious in using pesticides in the future." Lu Quanli, director secretary of Beinong, said that at present, more than 156,000 supplier databases have been established under the real-name system. Only Beinong in Taiwan now adopts mass spectrometry rapid inspection, and the results of rapid inspection will be transmitted to the Drug Poison Institute on the same day.

With real-name system, if the supplier delivers a piece of fruit and vegetable that fails to pass the first sampling inspection, the supplier must stop supplying for ten days; if the second time fails, the supplier must stop supplying for one month; if the third time fails, Beinong will no longer accept the supplier's goods.

Strengthen the "examination" from the end to prevent pesticides from flowing into the market

Beinong Company is the largest fruit and vegetable auction market in Taiwan, with daily trading volume of more than 2300 metric tons and auction of hundreds of thousands of fruits and vegetables. Taipei Mayor Ke Wenzhe said that two years ago, Beinong began to require the real-name system for the supply of fruits and vegetables. In September last year, Beinong launched a new mass spectrometry chemical rapid inspection for sampling. In July this year, the real-name system was officially launched. With the combination of the two, it can more accurately prevent unqualified products from flowing into the market.

Lu Quanli explained that in the process of establishing the real-name system, Beinong requires producers to provide ID numbers, and each producer will have a corresponding number, and even if farmers 'associations and fruit and vegetable cooperatives assist farmers in delivering pieces, they must provide producer information for each auction of fruits and vegetables, otherwise they will not be auctioned.
