The seedlings of bayberry are germinated and grown by means of seed sowing, and the seedlings grown in the field are all grown by spontaneous germination of seeds. However, in the natural environment, the seed germination rate of red bayberry is relatively low, so as potted users, if we want to obtain potted seedlings, we need to accelerate the germination of the seeds to improve the germination rate.

Not only that, as far as the growers of mass production are concerned, they often accelerate the germination of the seeds to make them grow into seedlings, and then use the seedlings as rootstocks to graft better varieties. Grafting can not only obtain a better shape, but also is very important to improve the yield and quality of bayberry fruit. In the process of improving the budding rate, budding is particularly important.

As we all know, there are many ways to accelerate germination of plant seeds, and the most common one is the method of accelerating germination with wet towels, which is also suitable for the germination of bayberry seeds. Of course, to sprout paper towels, we need to prepare relatively thick paper towels, if it is too thin, we can use a few more layers. Otherwise, water spraying may cause tearing of paper towels, which is disadvantageous to sprouting.

In order to make the red bayberry seeds sprout quickly and smoothly, we can use wet wipes to sprout them. However, before sprouting with paper towels, we need to wash the obtained red bayberry seeds with clean water and then soak them in water for a period of time to fully absorb water until some swelling.

Next, prepare a sealed box and put a thick layer of paper towels or several more layers of paper towels on the bottom of the box. Then soak the red bayberry seeds to dry the excess moisture and spread it on the paper towel. Then cover the seeds with a thick tissue or stack several layers of paper towels. Finally, spray the tissue with clean water, then seal the box and place it in a warm place where the light is dark.

If shading is scientific, heat preservation and moisturizing are reasonable, if it goes smoothly, you can see the white buds of bayberry seeds in about 1-2 weeks. In this way, we have completed the germination treatment of bayberry seeds, and then we can use it to sow and breed bayberry seedlings.

Of course, the method of accelerating germination of red bayberry seeds in addition to paper towels, can also be used to promote germination sealed with water, water table, sand storage and so on. The principle of budding also has something in common, but it is not the same, and all kinds of budding methods have their own advantages and disadvantages. As for budding, it does not require everyone to master all the methods well, but at least one method suitable for their own operation is needed.
