For potted friends who like to grow figs in pots, the phenomenon of falling fruit in the plant is really distressing. Especially for novice friends, they often don't know the reason, so they have no way to save it. There is no doubt that when figs lose fruit abnormally, we must pay enough attention to it to prevent the situation from getting worse.

The phenomenon of fig fruit loss will not only affect the ornamental effect of potted plants, but also affect the fruit yield, and even enter an awkward situation in which fruit can be eaten during the fruit ripening period. Therefore, when we encounter the phenomenon of fruit drop of potted figs at home, we must analyze the cause in time, and then save it scientifically.

In fact, there are many reasons for the loss of figs, not only figs, but also ordinary fruit trees. To investigate the reason, the phenomenon of fruit loss in potted figs may be caused by improper water management, lack of nutrients, muggy environment, invasion of diseases and insect pests, rotten roots and other factors. Of course, the number of figs is too large, or if the fruit is not picked in time after ripening, it may also cause fruit loss.

If the number of figs is too large, it will often lead to nutritional competition. Some fruits are prone to poor growth and immature growth due to less nutrition, so it is easier to lose fruit. Therefore, if there are too many fruits on potted figs, we can selectively remove some of the fruits with poor growth and development in order to reduce nutritional consumption and avoid frequent fruit loss.

If the fruit is not picked in time after it is ripe, the fruit will fall off. Therefore, we need to do a good job of harvesting regularly, and once we find that the fruit is ripe, we should pick it and eat it in time. Do not forget or leave the fruit on the plant, otherwise it is a big deal when the fruit is dropped, rotten fruit will attract diseases and insect pests and cause harm to the plant.

For the above two reasons, it is usually easier for everyone to understand, and it is also relatively normal. However, if the abnormal drop of figs before maturity is caused by improper maintenance and management, then we need to save them in a timely and targeted manner. Only when it is discovered early and saved in time can the loss be reduced to a minimum.

Fig fruit drop caused by improper water management is mainly caused by long-term water shortage or excessive watering in fruit period, so we only need to adjust watering management in time. If the fruit drop is caused by the lack of nutrients in the basin, we only need to replenish the figs in time, with emphasis on phosphorus and potassium nutrients. Moreover, it is appropriate to apply sufficient fertilizer in advance, mature organic fertilizer in the growing period and potassium dihydrogen phosphate in the flowering and fruiting stage.

Of course, the rotten roots caused by excessive water and fertilizer, or because the roots are infected with nematodes, the roots can not normally transport water and nutrients to the fruit, which will also cause fruit loss. Therefore, we need to check the plant in time when there are rotten roots, when it is attacked by insect pests. Once found, it should be rescued in time, those who control water and fertilizer should be controlled in time, and those who kill insects should be killed in time.

In addition, if the maintenance environment is too muggy, it may also cause figs to fall. Because the fig fruit period basically coincides with the beginning of summer, the temperature also suddenly rises, the light is also particularly strong. If the environmental humidity is relatively high at this time, and the ventilation condition is not good, then figs may also fall fruit. Therefore, we need to improve ventilation and proper shading in time to ensure that fig potted plants do not create a stuffy environment.
