The rich tree is a kind of plant with poor cold tolerance. When the temperature is below 10 °C in winter, it is more likely to be frozen and grow poorly. When the ambient temperature is below 5 °C, it will be frostbitten or even frostbitten to death.

Whether the rich tree can recover after being frozen is mainly determined by the degree of freezing and whether it is properly disposed of. If the impact of freezing is relatively mild, only the leaf tip becomes dry, it is generally placed in a warm indoor environment with sufficient scattered light, and the ambient temperature can be maintained above 10 °C. Generally maintained for a period of time, it will gradually return to normal.

However, if the freezing situation is slightly more serious, its branches and leaves have withered, yellowed, lost leaves, rotten leaves and many other bad phenomena, then it will be more troublesome to deal with them. And the frostbitten branches and leaves can not be repaired, can only be cut off, and then timely adjust the maintenance and management methods, generally need to raise for 1-2 months, it can gradually return to normal growth, so as to return to the normal state.

During this period, in addition to cutting off the frozen parts to avoid wasting nutrients and increasing the burden on the roots, drugs are also needed to spray leaves or irrigate the roots of the plants. It is generally recommended to use gibberellin or propyl naphthalene acetate, the effect of leaf spraying and root irrigation is good, and even the two can be used together to achieve twice the result with half the effort. After this treatment, the general plant can still be restored.

But if the root system of the rich tree is frozen, it is generally difficult to recover, or even impossible to recover. But in order to save the plant, we usually need to cut off its rotten roots and cut off most of the branches and leaves to reduce consumption. Then use potassium permanganate solution to disinfect and sterilize its roots, dry the wound and then plant it again, waiting for it to sprout and grow leaves.

It can be seen that rich trees are not only easy to rot their roots because of watering, but also easy to damage their roots because of freezing. For the case of root damage, it is generally troublesome to deal with, usually need to be combined with root pruning to change the basin, and then maintenance in order to save it. As for the freezing phenomenon of branches and leaves, it is generally relatively simple to deal with, and it can be restored to normal after 1-2 months of maintenance.
