Yushu is a succulent plant with underdeveloped roots, so it tends to grow more slowly than many flowers and plants. But if the light is more sufficient, the photosynthesis is stronger, the synthetic nutrition is more, so the plant growth is more exuberant.

In general, Yushu is more suitable for outdoor maintenance in spring and autumn, so that the light is more sufficient, and the light intensity is not large, so it is not easy to cause burns. After all, Yushu likes the sun, but at the same time, it is also afraid of direct sunlight or hot sun exposure.

But in summer, the temperature is often high, the weather is hot, and the light intensity is high, while Yushu is not only easy to enter dormancy or semi-dormancy in summer high temperature environment, but also easy to cause sunburn because it is not resistant to direct light or exposure. Therefore, in summer, it is not suitable for outdoor maintenance in the sun.

The greatest damage to Yushu in summer usually has two aspects, one is the exposure of the sun, and the other is the attack of strong winds and torrential rain. There is no doubt that Yushu will be sunburned in the hot sun, and it is easy to cause stagnant water in the basin and cause rotting roots in the rainstorm. After all, the root system of Yushu is underdeveloped and has the characteristics of drought tolerance and waterlogging tolerance.

Therefore, even if you want to put the Yushu potted plants in the outdoor environment in summer, you must take measures to protect yourself from the shade and rain. This can not only avoid sunburn caused by exposure, but also avoid stagnant water in the basin and cause rotten roots. But for the sake of safety, it is generally recommended to put it in a bright and ventilated place for maintenance in summer.
