Can longevity flowers be fertilized when they have buds?
Longevity flower not only has a wide variety and rich colors, but also blossoms very delicate and beautiful, with the characteristics of long flowering period. If the maintenance is well managed, it is even expected to blossom in the four seasons. After all, the longevity flower is an evergreen plant, as long as the growth environment is suitable, it will keep growing all the year round. Therefore, longevity flowers prefer fertilizer and have more demand for fertilizer.
The longevity flower can blossom many times in a year, but it has a large number of flowers and lasts for a long time, so it consumes a lot of nutrients. If it is not provided with enough nutrients, it will affect flowering due to lack of nutrients during flowering.
In fact, longevity flowers are different from many other flowers and plants, for general flowers and plants, it is generally necessary to prepare sufficient nutrients for them in advance before flowering. But the longevity flower is different, it can be fertilized at the flowering stage, even if it has a bud and blossoms, it can still apply fertilizer. However, we must control the frequency and concentration, because longevity flowers prefer fertilizer and are not tolerant to fertilizer, and too much fertilization can easily lead to root burning.
Although longevity flowers can be fertilized when they have buds, two conditions must be met: one is that the temperature must be above 15 °C, and the other is that thin fertilizer should be applied frequently. And in order to promote flowering, it is necessary to supplement phosphorus and potassium fertilizer, otherwise the plant is prone to overgrowth, thus affecting its normal flowering.
However, there is one exception, that is, when it grows out of the bud, the plant has become so thin that it is completely unable to open the bud. In this case, we generally need to give it water fertilizer, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium compound fertilizer to make it grow strong, because it is strong before it can blossom. Then we fertilize it with phosphate and potassium fertilizer such as potassium dihydrogen phosphate so that it can open the bud smoothly and speed up the bud gestation.
It can be seen that longevity flowers can usually be fertilized even if they have buds. It is only necessary to meet the conditions of fertilization, if the temperature is lower than 15 °C, it is not allowed to fertilize, but also need to control watering to avoid causing fertilizer damage to plants or reducing their cold resistance. And ordinary flowers and plants generally can not be fertilized after opening the bud, but even if the longevity flower opens the bud, if there is a lack of fertilizer, a small amount of fertilizer can be applied.
