What if the gentleman orchid gets caught with an arrow in spring?
First, raise the temperature
1. Reason: if the temperature of maintaining it is too low to meet the minimum requirements for it to draw arrows, then it will not be able to draw arrows normally, and there will be the problem of clamping arrows.
2. Treatment: change it to a position of more than 18 ℃, preferably more than 20 ℃ to maintain. This makes it easier for it to draw arrows.
Second, increase nutrients
1. Reason: it needs nutrients to blossom, and to draw flowers and arrows also needs nutrient support. If there is no timely application of flower fertilizer to it during maintenance, so that it lacks nutrients, then it may have the problem of catching arrows.
2. Treatment method: apply some flower fertilizer to it. Fertilizer should be selected with high phosphorus and potassium content, and should be diluted before being applied to the flowers.
Third, bind leaves to promote flowers
1. Reason: if excessive nitrogen fertilizer is applied during maintenance, its leaves will grow vigorously, robbing the space and nutrients originally used for archery, resulting in the plant unable to draw arrows normally.
2. Treatment method: use rubber bands and other things to tie the leaves on both sides of the plant together to leave more space in the middle of it. And stop applying nitrogen fertilizer and apply more phosphorus fertilizer to promote it to grow flowers and arrows.
