The yellowing of rhododendron leaves may be caused by improper soil, improper fertilization, environmental discomfort, etc., so the soil for maintaining it needs to use loose, fertile, acidic soil rich in humus, and its growth environment should be mainly semi-shade. it should be protected from the sun and shade in summer and put indoors in winter.

Why the leaves of rhododendron turn yellow

1. Soil discomfort

In the process of conserving azaleas, pots should be changed every 3-5 years. Loose, fertile and humus-rich acidic soils should be used to maintain azaleas. The pH value of the soil is between 5.5and 6.5.When it grows, it is often irrigated with alum and water. If alkaline or clayey soil is used, it will cause or even make it difficult to survive.

2. Improper fertilization

When applying fertilizer to rhododendron, we should apply it according to the actual growth of the plant, improper fertilization will also cause yellow leaves, because the humus nutrients in the culture soil can meet the needs of plant growth, so the application of thick fertilizer is easy to cause fertilizer damage to the plant, apply sclera fertilizer during the bud incubation period, and stop fertilization in winter.

3. Environmental discomfort

Azaleas like good moist and ventilated environment, uncomfortable environment will also cause yellow leaves, its growth environment should be mainly semi-shade, but the summer temperature is too high, it should be maintained in semi-shade, increase the air humidity around the plant, keep the basin soil moist during the growing season, and its most suitable growth temperature is 13 ℃-25 ℃.
