Taipei Mayor Ke Wen-Tseh attended the second Wanhua Old City Coffee Press Conference in 2020 on the 24th. In his speech, he said that the city government has contributed money and efforts to promote local prosperity through local cultural activities. We encourage local young people and local organizations to put forward various ideas to enhance Taipei's international visibility.

Mayor Ke Wenzhe said that the event, which began last year, was attended by 13 coffee shops, expanded to 29 this year, and will be expanded to more shops with local characteristics in the future. The event will run from August 29 to November 14, hoping to introduce new forces into the old city.

Mayor Ke Wen-Tseh said that in the future, Wanhua will have the Western District Portal project centered on the North Gate, the former city council site project, the C1 and D1 twin star project, as well as specific special areas E1 and E2 for Taipei Station. He hopes that many heads will lead the development of the Western District. In addition, the municipal government needs strong local organizations to allow young people in Wanhua to put forward their ideas. The municipal government particularly supports the "Wanhua Coffee fragrance" program, which encourages young people to have ideas and creativity, so as to turn Wanhua into a new urban bright spot. Taipei should also become a more international city.
