What kind of soil is good for orchids and how to match it?
I. Flower soil requirements
Different varieties of orchids like different flowers and soils. But on the whole, they all like the flower soil with more nutrients and enough air and water. Because this kind of soil can provide it with enough nutrients to help it grow, and it is not easy to accumulate water, it can reduce its chances of rotting roots.
2. Preparation method
1. Flower soil made from three parts of rotten leaf soil, one part of mountain soil and one part of laterite can be used. This kind of soil is high in nutrients, which is good for its growth.
2. You can also use three parts of vegetable garden soil, five parts of rotten leaf soil or peat soil, plus one part of orchid stone mixed flower soil. The advantage of this kind of soil is good air permeability and water permeability, which is very good for the root growth of the plant.
3. The flower soil made of two parts of coarse river sand and three parts of rotten leaf soil can also be used. Note that the river sand must be thicker, which can increase the air permeability of the flower soil.
4. If epiphytic orchid is preserved, its plant material can be prepared by mixing rotten bark, brick grain, tree fern root, ceramsite and other materials.
