When should the gentleman orchid change the basin?

The orchid usually changes the basin best in spring and autumn every year, and the basin soil needs to be changed 1-2 times a year, otherwise the fleshy root of the orchid grows fast, and the nutrients in the soil can be exhausted in half a year. If you don't change the basin frequently, it will affect the growth of the orchid in the coming year.

Second, how to change the basin of gentleman orchid

1. Before changing the basin, the magnolia should properly control the water. When the soil is slightly dry, remove the orchid from the original flowerpot, remove the soil attached to the root system, cut off the rotten and withered root system, and apply carbendazim powder at the cut. Put the orchid in a cool and ventilated place to dry its roots.

2. The loose and breathable soil can be prepared with rotten leaf soil, pine needle soil, coarse sand and charcoal. Choose a breathable flowerpot of the right size and put it into the root system of the orchid, so that the root system is about 3cm away from the basin wall, and tile and ceramsite are padded at the bottom of the basin.

3. Put 5-7cm soil above the ceramsite, and the soil moisture should be "hold into a ball, touch it and disperse", then hold the root system of Cymbidium by hand, buckle it upside down, fill it with soil between the roots of Cymbidium, hold the root system of the plant, and slowly put it into the center of the flowerpot.

4. Finally, fill the gap between the root system and the flowerpot with the soil, gently compact the soil, then fill the soil to the root system, cover the root system with 5-7cm, gently compact the soil, move the potted plant to a cool and ventilated place, and wait for the soil to be nearly dry and thoroughly watered. After a week, it can be maintained normally.
