What about hyacinth stems that are too short?
Hyacinth has many varieties and rich colors, and it is very beautiful when it blossoms. Every spring from March to April, it is a good time for us to enjoy the flowers. And hyacinth can be cultivated in both water and soil, as long as the maintenance and management work is done in place, it can produce beautiful flowers.
However, hyacinth is also sensitive to sudden changes in the growth environment at flowering stage, and a little carelessness may cause arrow entrapment, which makes it unable to blossom smoothly. Even if sometimes the phenomenon of entrapment of arrows is not obvious, the flower stem may be too short, the stem and leaf too long.
But the flowering stem of hyacinth is usually wrapped by broad leaves outside, if the flowering period is too short, although it may also blossom, but the flowering effect is often not good. And this kind of situation is also easier to cause arrows, what about that?
The flower stem of hyacinth is too short, which can easily cause the phenomenon of arrow entrapment, thus affecting its normal flowering. The main reason for this phenomenon is that the ambient temperature is too high, the light is too much, or due to the frequent peeling of the seed coat.
In order to solve this problem, so that hyacinth flower stem can be extracted quickly to avoid the phenomenon of arrow entrapment, we can usually follow these two methods to deal with. One way is to shade the light, and the other is to cool down. For shading, put the potted plant in the dark or cover it with a black plastic bag for a few days. The flower stem of hyacinth is pulled out quickly because of its overgrowth, and then add light to it.
If cooling treatment is adopted, this method is often referred to as cold treatment, in which the temperature in the pot environment is controlled at a cooler place between 5 °C and 13 °C, so that the flower stems can be extracted quickly. Wait until the flower stem is extracted smoothly, and then raise the ambient temperature to more than 15 °C.
However, if the flower stem is too short or entangled with arrows caused by the lack of nutrients caused by the frequent peeling of the seed coat and the loss of nutrition, then it can only be achieved by increasing fertilization. Hyacinth mainly depends on bulbs to store nutrients, and it is on the scales of bulbs. When its bulb accumulates enough nutrition and energy, its flowering stem can be drawn out smoothly and bloom.
Therefore, if the hyacinth we raise meets the situation that the flower stem is too short and it is easy to trap arrows, we can deal with it by adopting the above three methods. Of course, the specific measures to be taken, but also according to the specific situation to implement, so as to ensure that its flower stem can be extracted smoothly, and at the same time can smoothly open the bud.
