The Ministry of the Interior said that the "Shanyue suspension Bridge" was first built during the Japanese occupation period and was the longest railway bridge in the Taroko Canyon. After the opening of the middle horizontal highway, it replaced the function of the Shanyue suspension bridge, and the suspension bridge was gradually destroyed. Although it had been tried to rebuild, it could not be completed. With the persevering efforts of Taiguan Office and the engineering team, the fourth generation "Shan Yue suspension Bridge", which lasted more than 2 years and 9 months, successfully overcome the natural danger of the canyon and completed its construction.

The "Mountain Moon suspension Bridge" straddles Liwu Creek in Taroko National Park. It is 196 meters long and 2.5 meters wide and 153 meters away from the valley. The bridge tower is designed in the shape of "moon", echoing the surrounding mountains. There are viewing platforms on the south and north banks of the suspension bridge. You can have a panoramic view of Yanzikou Canyon, Bloom Bay platform and Liwu Creek meandering eastward in the mountains, and the whole region is in line with the human-oriented barrier-free environment.
