The flower of poplar belongs to catkin, dioecious, without petals, the male inflorescence is about 10-14 cm long, there are about 10 tips on the bracts, the color of the anther is red, the female inflorescence is about 4-7 cm long, the bracts are pointed, there are long hairs on the edges, and the poplar flowers will crack when they mature, and seeds will pop out, that is, our common poplar catkins, which will float around by the wind.
