How to cut off the pedicel of Cymbidium
First, prepare tools
After blooming, the pedicel of Cymbidium may still remain on the plant. It usually no longer blossoms, but it consumes plant nutrients, so it must be cut off. Tools need to be prepared before trimming. Specifically, the tools to be prepared are sharp scissors, lighters and gardening gloves.
Cut off the pedicel
Turn on the lighter, put the blade on both sides of the scissors on the outer flame of the fire, and gently bake it to sterilize it. Then wait 3-5 seconds, after its blade cools down, cut off its pedicel slowly. After cutting, prepare some paper towels and suck up all the juice. Prepare some disinfectant and apply it to the wound on the plant to prevent infection.
III. Post-maintenance
After cutting the pedicel, you need to put it in a warm position of about 20 ℃ and give some soft light. Pay attention to a little water control during the period, do not overwater. After about 7 days, it can return to normal growth. After that, the normal replenishment can be restored.
