The maintenance temperature of lilies can not be lower than zero degrees. If it is true in the north, it is best to transfer it to indoor maintenance and pay attention to heat preservation at night. In the south, you only need to cover a layer of film and often bask in the sun. Lilies also need a certain low temperature before blooming, and the specific duration is related to the variety.

Breeding methods of lilies in winter

1. Indoor maintenance

The maintenance temperature of lilies in winter can not be lower than zero degrees Celsius, and when the northern area is less than zero degrees Celsius, it should be transferred to indoor maintenance, and the indoor temperature had better be about 10 to 15 degrees Celsius. Long-term low temperature will lead to plant dormancy or even death, especially to pay attention to the temperature difference between day and night, pay attention to heat preservation at night.

2. Low temperature treatment

When entering the house for maintenance, you can't put the plant near the air outlet of heating or air conditioning. these places are relatively dry, which is not conducive to plant growth, and lilies have to go through a low temperature period of 45 to 100 days before flowering in order to make the color of flowering more bright. different low temperature duration should be determined according to different varieties of lilies.

3. Rational watering

Lilies do not like too humid environment, especially when the temperature is relatively low in winter, plants grow slowly and need less water. Too much watering will cause the roots to be difficult to absorb and water to rot. As long as you keep the soil slightly moist when watering, you can spray water on the soil surface or on the plants.

4. Overwintering in the south

The temperature in winter in southern China is usually above zero, which can be maintained outdoors and does not need to be transferred indoors, but there should be certain heat preservation measures, which can cover the lilies planted on the ground with a layer of plastic film, and when the weather is good, the film can be taken apart and breathed. Often bask in the sun, and when the temperature rises slightly, the film can be removed.
