Many potted friends like to grow figs in potted plants, but as potted plants, we don't want the fig tree to grow into a towering tree, otherwise the flowerpot can't hold its roots. Since as a potted plant, the flowerpot is not only required to hold the plant, but also needs to coordinate with the plant, so we need to control the plant shape height and let the plant sprout more lateral branches as much as possible.

To build a pot environment for figs, there are mainly two elements: one is the choice of the pot, and the other is the preparation of the pot soil. These two factors are the two key factors that affect and restrict the normal growth of fig plants in the pot. If we match properly, figs can naturally grow luxuriantly in such a pot environment, and vice versa.

The root system of figs is very developed, the plant grows very fast, and it is easy to grow luxuriantly. A strong root system can not only improve the absorption and supply capacity, improve the efficiency of nutrient absorption and transport, but also occupy a lot of space in the basin. Therefore, when we plant figs in pots, we must choose flowerpots that are big enough.

As for the size of the flowerpot, the bigger the pot, the better. Family potted plants usually prepare 3-gallon pots. It would be nice to prepare 5-gallon pots and 7-gallon pots, which would be quite luxurious. But for fig seedlings, the use of too large flowerpots will seem a bit wasteful, and it is not necessarily conducive to plant growth.

Therefore, we can consider preparing a smaller flowerpot for figs during the seedling period, and later as the plant grows, we will consider changing the pot as appropriate. After all, the root system of figs is particularly developed, and changing pots regularly is often of great significance for plant growth and flowering and fruiting. Therefore, we should take seriously the pots of figs.

However, in addition to the size of flowerpots, the material of potted figs and multi-flowerpots also has certain requirements. Usually do not recommend the use of porcelain basin, after all, the permeability of porcelain basin is too poor, neither breathable nor water permeable, excessive watering is easy to cause stagnant water in the basin and cause root damage. If you are not particular about the shape of the pot, it is recommended to use dung buckets to pot, after all, dung buckets are mostly made of wood, with strong air permeability and water permeability, which is very suitable for the growth of figs.
