Goldfish hanging orchid has a bud can you fertilize it?
Goldfish orchid flowering is very good-looking, but it likes the cool temperature environment, and the florescence generally does not have a uniform time. Its flowering period is mainly affected by different regional environments, either in spring, autumn or winter, may be its flowering season. Generally speaking, it may blossom as long as the ambient temperature is kept between 15 °c and 25 °c and the light is sufficient, bright and ventilated.
Therefore, some goldfish orchids raised by potted friends in different places may bloom in March-May in spring, around November in late autumn, or in winter. But no matter when it blossoms, we should prepare enough nutrients for goldfish orchid in advance, because its flowering needs to consume a lot of nutrients, if the nutrients are insufficient, it will inevitably affect its normal flowering.
However, fertilizing goldfish orchid also needs to pay attention to the time node, and the demand for nutrients is different in different periods. In general, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium multi-element fertilizer is needed in the growing season, and phosphorus and potassium fertilizer is needed near the flowering stage.
The fertilization of goldfish orchid at flowering stage needs phosphorus and potassium fertilizer to promote flowering, but it is not suitable to apply fertilizer during flowering after opening the bud, and it is often necessary to stop fertilization as soon as the bud is opened. Although it is said to be fertilized at the flowering stage, it actually needs to be fully fertilized before flowering. The key point is to apply flower fertilizer in time when the bud is about to be pregnant.
From the beginning of the bud to the formation of the bud, it is also necessary to supplement flower-promoting fertilizer in time, generally with potassium dihydrogen phosphate or Huaduoduo No. 2, or irrigating roots, or spraying leaves. But spraying leaves should not be carried out by spraying fat and water, but by spraying water. In this way, it absorbs better, and it will not leave water stains on the leaf surface and affect the ornamental, and it is not easy to cause fertilizer damage to the leaves.
It can be seen that goldfish orchid can be fertilized if it has a bud, as long as we can apply fertilizer before opening the bud. And the application of flower-promoting fertilizer needs to be carried out from the vegetative growth to reproductive growth, that is, from the growing season to before flowering. Generally keep topdressing phosphate and potassium fertilizer 2-3 times a month, but stop fertilizing in time when opening the bud, so as to meet the nutrition needs of its flowering.
