Origin: China, wild in the eastern forest, cultivated in the garden of our country for a long time. Sex likes the sun and warm climate, fleshy roots, avoid wet water, should be planted in high-dry, fertile drained fine acid sandy loam. Magnolia is an important early spring flower. It is often planted in front of courtyards and buildings. The petals are thick and fragrant and edible, the seeds can extract oil, and the bark and buds are used medicinally.

Propagation: commonly used grafting, striping propagation and seedling breeding. Magnolia was grafted as rootstock. After the leaves fall in autumn, the branches are grafted at the base of the trunk and then buried in the soil for the winter. The following spring, peel off the cover to unbind the dew bud, the growth can be as high as 1 meter, 2-3 years can blossom. The striping was carried out after flowering, and the mother plant was separated in the following spring and cultivated separately.

Cultivation: transplanting after defoliation in autumn or before flowering in early spring, in order not to affect flowering, you can also transplant after flowering, but you must bring soil balls. Seedlings should be protected against cold when overwintering. Before flowering in early spring, topdressing is combined with watering. Topdressing was applied every half month from May to August. Use compost to cultivate pockets in winter.
