In today's life, many people have the habit and hobby of growing flowers. For flower lovers, growing flowers can not only cultivate themselves, but also beautify the environment. With the continuous improvement of flower cultivation experience, cutting, as the main technology of flower propagation, has been respected by many people, and flower friends also like to study cuttings by themselves. Recently, many flower friends reported that the survival rate of their cuttings was not high, and they basically wilted after a few days. So how to improve the survival rate of cutting flowers? These four points are the key.

1. Soil

Before cutting, we should first understand the soil needs of cutting flowers, such as whether they like acidic soil or alkaline soil, sandy soil or loam and so on. Because different flowers have different needs for soil, blind cutting on the same soil can not guarantee its survival rate.

2. Temperature

For cutting flowers, the most suitable cutting temperature is about 20-25 ℃, because the biological enzyme activity of flower plants at this temperature will be higher, which will accelerate their metabolism and cell division. This is more conducive to the rooting of flower plants, and the survival rate of cutting will be higher. Therefore, we can check the temperature of the soil before cutting, and then adjust it properly.

3. Humidity

After talking about the temperature, of course we have to talk about humidity. In general, the relative humidity suitable for rooting of cutting flowers is best guaranteed at about 80%. If it is a succulent plant, the humidity can be reduced relatively, about 45%. Only keeping appropriate humidity can ensure the survival rate of cuttings, such as succulent flowers which do not like water. If the flowers with high humidity basically do not root, they may rot over a long period of time, while low humidity will promote their rooting.

4. Lighting

The rooting and sprouting of most flower plants need to use light to promote growth, but it is particularly important to note that in the process of cutting flowers, do not put this in the sun, just cutting branches generally can not bear. Generally put in the bright place of the balcony, at the same time to ensure proper ventilation.

Generally speaking, although these key points are easy to understand, they are indeed the most direct and critical. Friends who like cutting flowers must pay attention to these four points, otherwise cutting work will be counterproductive.
