How to make epiphyllum blossom during the day

As we all know, epiphyllum is a plant that blossoms at night, and a single flower blooms for a short time. After all, it has a long history of being a flash in the pan, and it has long been famous. But it is precisely because it is different, which attracts the active attention of the majority of potted friends, and even as a family potted cultivation, looking forward to the arrival of its blooming time, ready to see its appearance.

But epiphyllum blossoms at night is really not convenient for us to watch, although it blossoms big and good-looking, after all, it is quite different from the time we sleep and rest at night. We can't delay our sleep at night in order to appreciate its blossom, thus affecting our study and work the next day. In fact, those who are familiar with its growth pattern usually have a way to make it blossom during the day.

Blooming in the pan is often greatly affected by light, so we can change its flowering time by adjusting the light time, and this method is not difficult. First of all, when we see epiphyllum buds and begin to tilt up slightly, move the potted plant indoors without light, or cover it with an opaque plastic bag.

Then let it stay in a dark environment for about 12 hours, and then we move it out and put it in a bright environment. Epiphyllum after the process of no light, light alternating with each other, we provide it with a well-ventilated maintenance environment. It is best to take the practice of inverted day and night, generally 4-6 days in a row, it can blossom during the day.

Specifically, it is recommended to wait until its buds begin to warp up, starting from 8 o'clock in the morning to shade it for 12 hours. Then it was illuminated throughout the night from 8pm to 8am the next day. Every time the light is given and shaded alternately, the window is opened and ventilated for about 1 hour. According to this method, it can blossom smoothly during the day after 4-6 days in a row.
