With March and spring coming soon, everything is a new beginning, and I hope the epidemic of COVID-19 will come to an end as soon as possible.

The changing season in winter and spring is the season with high incidence of cough and asthma in pigs.

Stress such as dark, damp, cold, crowded pigs, sudden change of feed, or temperature difference between day and night are easy to induce the disease. The worse the pig farm is, the more harmful the disease is.

Simple wheezing

The mortality rate of simple asthma is not high, such as cough, dyspnea, decreased feed intake, growth retardation into stiff pigs, reduced weight gain, delayed pig age by 7-10 days, increased feed-to-meat ratio, and decreased pig uniformity. It is estimated that the average economic loss of each fat pig is about 60-70 yuan, which mainly affects the economic benefits of the pig farm.

It is suggested that we can add tamoxin and doxycycline to the feed for prevention and treatment.

Is the pig farm a mixed infection?

When distinguishing whether the respiratory disease in pig farm belongs to mixed infection, it mainly depends on the degree of its incidence. If severe dyspnea, persistent high fever, refusing to eat, whole body redness, or even death, it is generally caused by mycoplasma pneumoniae, blue ear virus, Ⅱ circovirus and other mixed infection, if it can not be treated in time, it will often cause huge losses.

It is suggested that Banqing granule and flunisine meglumine should be added to drinking water, and Tywann combined with doxycycline should be added to feed.

Treatment of mixed infection of viral diseases

When mixed respiratory infections caused by blue ear disease or influenza, it depends on which disease is more serious, such as Streptococcus or Haemophilus parasuis.

It is recommended to use Banqing granule combined with carbaciline calcium to drink water, and the dosage can be recommended in accordance with the instructions; if asthma is obvious and mixed infection has infectious pleuropneumonia, consideration can be given to the use of Tywann combined with florfenicol. If you have a fever, use carbaciline calcium.
