If you want the orchid to blossom, you should first change the pot once a year, avoid soil consolidation, strictly control the amount of water, and shade when the summer light is strong. It is suggested that it is best to apply dilute liquid fertilizer every half month in the growing season, keep the temperature at 18 ℃ ~ 30 ℃, and cut off the residual flowers and stunted branches and leaves after flowering.

How can orchids blossom smoothly

1. Change the basin in time

How can orchids blossom? I believe that many flower friends have such doubts in the process of breeding. In many cases, it basically does not blossom in the second year after flowering, mainly because we do not change the pot in time, the orchid needs to change the pot once a year, the purpose is to ensure that there are sufficient nutrients in the soil. At the same time, avoid soil consolidation.

2. Control watering

In the process of orchid growth, sufficient water is needed. If you want the orchid to blossom smoothly, it is necessary to strictly control the amount of watering to ensure that the potted soil is moist and avoid causing stagnant water. In addition, you can often use spray bottles to spray water on the leaves to clean up some of the dust and make the leaves more green and pleasant.

3. Sufficient light

Providing proper light for orchids is one of the important guarantees for their flowering. Especially in the flowering period of the plant, it is necessary to let it carry out photosynthesis normally and accumulate nutrients, so it can be put outdoors to receive all-day sunshine and shade measures can be taken when the summer light is strong.

4. Rational fertilization

It is suggested that thin liquid fertilizer should be applied every half a month in the growing season to ensure its vigorous growth. During the flowering period, there is a high demand for nutrients, so it is necessary to properly supplement elements such as phosphorus and potassium to promote the pregnant buds and make the flowers more bright. generally, the conditions of flowering can be satisfied by applying fertilizer 1 or 2 times before flowering.

5. Control temperature

From the previous culture experience, 18 ℃ ~ 30 ℃ is the best temperature for orchid growth, too high or too low is not conducive to its development. The highest temperature in summer should not exceed 35 ℃, and the temperature should be kept above 8 ℃ in winter. If it is too low, it can be moved to overwintering indoors, and the appropriate temperature should be adjusted to avoid frostbite.

6. Proper pruning

If you want to keep the orchid blooming year after year, you must do a good job of pruning. After the flowering stage of orchids, the residual flowers and stunted branches and leaves should be cut off to avoid nutrient loss and promote the germination of new flower branches, which plays a key role in plant growth, development and modeling.
