Artificial cultivation of gentleman orchid is more important is watering and fertilization, if you want to raise a good gentleman orchid, watering needs to pay attention to change according to the weather, environment and other conditions. Fertilization for Cymbidium also needs to be changed according to the growth of Cymbidium, so what should it be?

The watering temperature had better be close to the soil temperature. If the water temperature is too low in winter, it can be mixed with some hot water. If tap water is used, it is best to bask in the container for two or three days. Fertilization is one of the important measures. Nitrogen deficiency leaves tend to grow poorly, the tip of the lower leaves turn yellow; phosphorus deficiency leads to poor flower color; potassium deficiency fleshy roots do not develop well. Therefore, the types of fertilization must be adjusted in time to meet the needs of growth and development.

There are mainly the following kinds of fertilizers with high fertilizer efficiency: ① animal manure: horse manure contains more cellulose, good permeability, and easy to decompose, so it is a good fertilizer at seedling stage. Other animal faeces are also acceptable, but they must be fully rotten before use. ② cake fertilizer: such as bean cake, sesame seed cake, peanut cake, etc., soaked and fermented and irrigated in the form of liquid fertilizer, do not use raw cake. ③ animal hoof horn and scraps: such as hoof horn can be watered with bubble water, fragments can also be placed in the lower part of the basin soil, blood powder, bone meal and other wastes can be used. ④ cooking waste: such as fish head, 'scales, intestines, poultry hair, Amoy rice water, etc., can be soaked in water to ferment or buried in the soil to rett into fertilizer.

Some people say that the gentleman's orchid does not apply chemical fertilizer, which is unreasonable. The commonly used chemical fertilizers are potassium dihydrogen phosphate and nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium compound fertilizer. These chemical fertilizers can be applied to the soil or extra-root topdressing. The specific method of extra-root topdressing is to spray thin inorganic fertilizer solution'(such as 0.1%-0.5% potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution) on the leaf surface, the effect is very good.
