Cymbidium is a kind of beautiful plant type, which is very suitable for ornamental plants. We often buy it impulsively because of its appearance. If we don't know how to maintain the orchid we just bought, it will definitely spoil the orchid. In fact, as long as the seedlings are treated with potassium permanganate solution in time and replanted, choose the loose soil that is suitable for it, and the right amount of light and watering can make it survive quickly.

First, the maintenance method of the gentleman orchid that just bought 1, check the plant

The newly bought orchids need to be inspected before they can decide how to breed them. It's okay to buy back from the plant market, especially some seedlings bought online, you don't know if the plant is good, dig it out of the soil, check for rotten or diseased roots, and deal with it as soon as it is found.

2. Disinfection and sterilization

Many flower friends do not know how to maintain the magnolia that they just bought, so they raise them directly when they buy them back. This is not safe, we need to disinfect the plants first, especially those that have cut off diseased or rotten roots, be sure to soak in diluted potassium permanganate solution or fungus. After soaking for 5 minutes, those with wounds should be coated with charcoal powder, and those without wounds can be planted.

3. Change the basin soil

The potted soil bought by the magnolia can also be used in general, but if you want the magnolia to grow more exuberantly, you have to replace it with more fertile soil. Mix rotten leaf soil with peat soil and pine needles at 4:4:2.

4. Planting

Plant the original sterilized orchid plant in the new soil, dig a small hole, bury the root of the orchid directly into the soil, then press the soil with your fingers, water and soak the soil, and place it in a cool environment without watering for 3 days to wait for the plant to slowly recover from the slow pot period, and then it can be transplanted to a sunny place indoors.

Points for attention in the maintenance of the newly bought magnolia 1. Appropriate amount of light

Magnolia is very sensitive to sunlight, the right amount of light will make it grow more luxuriantly, more light will sunburn the plant, too little light will lead to plant malaise and slow growth. It is best to put it on the south balcony with good light at home and get the right amount of light with sunrise and sunset. Especially in summer, put it in the indoor astigmatism area to avoid direct sunlight.

2. Appropriate watering

Cymbidium can neither be watered too much nor too little. Too much watering will lead to rotten roots, and less watering will cause the leaves of the plant to turn yellow. Watering should be dry and wet, once every 3-5 days in spring and autumn, 1-2 days in summer, and 1 time in 7 days in winter.

3. The temperature is moderate

Magnolia can neither be heated nor like the cold environment. It is best to keep its growth temperature between 15 and 22 ℃. It should be shaded when the summer temperature is more than 32 ℃ and cool in a cool environment. The temperature should not be lower than 5 ℃ in winter, or it will freeze to death.

4. Fertilization

To the gentleman orchid fertilization must be appropriate, should not be too thick nor too light, thick fertilizer will make the plant burn with, yellow leaf phenomenon. Just buy back phosphate fertilizer, dilute it with water and then pour it on the root of Magnolia. Fertilize once every 10-15 days. Applying some phosphorus and potassium fertilizer before flowering will also make its flowers bloom more brightly.
