The bark is rich in nutrients, which can promote the growth of orchids to a certain extent. it is not suitable to cultivate orchids with pure bark, which does not provide comprehensive nutrition, causes poor growth of orchids, and is easy to breed bacteria for a long time. the phenomenon of rotten roots, it is best to mix the mature bark with rotten leaf soil and sandy soil, which can promote the growth of orchid roots.

Pure bark is not good for orchids.

The bark is rich in plant nutrients, and it is also suitable to use it to raise orchids, but it is not good to raise orchids with pure bark, because the bark species contain limited nutrients, which can not provide comprehensive nutrition for the root growth of orchids. Over a long period of time, it is easy to cause the orchid root system to grow poorly, grow slowly, or even wither and die.

At the same time, the time of cultivating orchids with pure bark is very short, and under the action of water during the growth period, the bark will breed some bacterial substances over a long time, which is easy to cause the root system of orchids to rot, which is disadvantageous to the growth of orchids. It is best to mix some loose and nutrient-rich sandy soil in the bark species in order to ensure the normal growth of orchids.

When raising orchids with bark, the amount used should not be too much, and the bark should be selected after full ripening and fermentation, so that there will be more nutrients inside, and the bark should not be placed directly in the basin soil or around the root system. otherwise, a lot of heat will be generated in the natural fermentation, which is disadvantageous to the root growth.

The bark can be cleaned, disinfected and sterilized at high temperature, then defatted, put it in a container to be fermented naturally, and then use an appropriate amount of bark mixed with rotten leaf soil, fine sand and cinder as the nutrient soil of orchids. At the same time, the soil should be changed every 1 to 2 years to ensure the normal growth of the root system.
