Most of the weaned sows will be in estrus normally, if she is not in estrus: on the one hand, she is already in estrus and you did not notice it in time; on the other hand, the stimulation to the sow after weaning is not enough.

For the first case, some people will think it strange: how can a lactating sow be in estrus?

The fact is that sows breastfed for more than 30 days are more likely to be in estrus, especially those who are nursing sows are more likely to be in estrus in the delivery room, when we miss estrus because of our negligence. This is usually a sign that sows don't want to breast-feed, eat less, get restless, and often stand up and prick up their ears. We often think that the sow is sick, but it is normal to take the body temperature, and the second monk is confused for a moment.

The second situation is the reason why most sows are not in estrus.

In this regard, we might as well start with the following points:

7. Increase the intensity and frequency of estrus examination. Artificially stimulate sows to check estrus at least twice a day. Stimulate both sides of the abdomen with hands or knees, push the groin, vibrate the vagina, ride on the sow like a boar to stimulate the sow, climb across the test.

8. if the sow loses fat seriously after weaning, the fat condition of the sow can be improved first until the next estrus.

9. Pigs who eat moldy corn (zearenone) are difficult to be in estrus, so the quality of feed must be guaranteed.

If the above is done in place, the sow is still not in estrus, so we might as well do some hormone treatment.

If the sow is still not in estrus, check the record of the last sow breeding and resolutely eliminate the poor quality sows, which is also a way to improve production efficiency and performance.

At this time, it is recommended to cure uterine inflammation first, in addition to the treatment of intramuscular injection of antibiotics in sows, but also flush the uterus of sows, which can be rinsed with penicillin + houttuynia cordata + normal saline for 2-3 times.
