There are many reasons for the black tip of orchids. If the light is too strong, you need to put it in a semi-shade, or shade in summer, so that it can only see light sooner or later; if the air is dry, you need to sprinkle water around, or spray water on the leaves, but do not let the water drop into the leaf sheath; if the temperature is too low, you need to put it in a warm place; if it is because of stagnant water, you need to remove the rotten roots, cut off the rotten roots and disinfect them, and then replant them.

First, the light is too strong

Reason: orchids are afraid of direct sunlight, too strong light is easy to burn its leaves, resulting in leaf tip blackening.

Solution: move the orchid to semi-shade, or shade in summer. It should be noted that if long-term lack of light is also disadvantageous to its growth, affecting the differentiation of flower buds. So you can receive light every morning and evening, and you have to turn the basin regularly to ensure that you are exposed to light on all sides.

Second, air drying

Reason: orchids are suitable for growing in a humid environment. If the climate is too dry and the temperature is very high, it is easy to cause the leaves to lose water and black tip.

Solution: put the orchids in the shade. At the same time, sprinkling water around to increase the humidity of the environment, water evaporation can also reduce the temperature. You can also spray water on the leaves, but do not spray too much to avoid water droplets entering the leaf sheath and causing internal decay.

Third, the temperature is too low

Reason: orchids prefer warm climates. If the temperature is low and the temperature is below 0 ℃ for a long time, it is easy to frostbite the plant and cause the leaf tip to blacken.

Solution: keep orchids warm in winter and keep the temperature between 10-15 ℃. If the room temperature is not enough, it can be covered with plastic film. Spray some water before covering, which can also moisturize the leaves.

Fourth, stagnant water rotten roots

Reason: if the orchid is watered too much, the basin soil is too damp or stagnant water, it is easy to breed bacteria to make it sick, resulting in black leaf tips.

Solution: if there is stagnant water in the flowerpot, the stagnant water needs to be discharged first. After that, remove the plant from the pot and check whether the roots are rotten. After cutting off the rotten roots, smear and disinfect them with carbendazim. Replant it with dry new soil, and don't water it after planting. Keep it in the shade and wait for it to grow again.
