1. Pull branches

Many flower lovers should want to know what is the pruning course for potted white orchids. In fact, white orchids need to be pruned in the process of growing. The growth of new branches and flower buds can be promoted by opening branches and changing the growth direction of branches all the year round.

2. Cut buds

During the growth period, the white orchid needs to cut the top buds and side branches short with scissors, and the pruned side branches are mainly withered branches, diseased branches and poorly growing branches. After pruning, the buds at the top can increase the number of buds and produce more flowers during flowering. During the gestation period, some leaves can also be cut off properly, which can make the buds grow bigger and prolong the flowering period.

3. Pruning

Summer is a period of exuberant growth of white orchids, and the branches grow rapidly. It is necessary to cut off the overgrown upright lateral branches from about 3 to 5 centimeters from the base, seal the wound with mud mixed with disinfectant, and wrap it tightly with plastic film to prevent bacteria from invading the wound.

4. Take off the bud

The flowering period of white orchid is from May to September, and it is necessary to cut off the overgrown branches, withered branches, diseased branches, weak branches and unflowering buds before and after flowering, so as to prevent them from consuming plant nutrients and affecting the growth of other healthy parts. It is easy to breed more buds in the following year.
