In order to raise flowers well, we must first find out the temperature requirements of flowers, and then create a temperature environment suitable for flower growth and development as much as possible according to the conditions. The living conditions and heating conditions in the north are generally low in winter. To cultivate high-temperature flowers originating in tropical and subtropical areas, we must do a good job in heat preservation. Such as Prynne, Milan and other winter room temperature can not be lower than 10 ℃.

The summer temperature in Beijing is high, which is disadvantageous to the growth of cool flowers, such as cyclamen, inverted golden bell, crab claw orchid and so on. Using the method of temperature regulation to control the flowering period is more common in the north, such as flower production departments use high temperature to send jasmine flowers, after the beginning of autumn, the jasmine flowers will be moved into a high temperature greenhouse (room temperature 3035 ℃), and a large number of jasmine can bloom in about one month. After the strong growth of plum blossom, the flower bud was fully developed and dormant after a period of low temperature for a period of time, and then moved to the room of 10-25 ℃. Due to the increase of temperature, the flower bud expanded gradually. About half a month before the scheduled flowering, move into the room of 20-25 ℃, about 10 days the bud first burst.

The flower bud of sweet-scented osmanthus was formed from June to August, and the main factor affecting flowering was temperature. When the hot summer turns to cool in autumn, the flower buds begin to swell, and when the night temperature drops below 17 ℃, the sweet-scented osmanthus will bloom. Making use of this biological characteristic of sweet-scented osmanthus, if you want to bloom early, you can put it in the cold room; if you want to postpone flowering, you must raise the temperature and restrain the expansion of flower buds.
