Orchid is a common flower with fleshy root system, which has certain requirements for soil, water and nutrients. Especially for nutrients, inappropriate fertilization methods are easy to have adverse effects on the fleshy roots of orchids.

Urea is a common fertilizer in agricultural production, the main component is carbamide, the content is 46%, easily soluble in water. For orchids, urea can also be used to promote the growth of orchids. The easiest way is to prepare a small amount of granular urea, buried in the pot soil surface of the flowerpot, about a few or a dozen particles on it. Be careful to water thoroughly and do not apply it regularly. The biggest disadvantage of this method is that urea will appear high fertilizer concentration in some areas with the dissolution of water, which can easily cause the reverse osmosis of the root system, which will affect the root system and even cause root rot.

I still suggest dissolving the urea in water before watering it. In this way, the concentration of urea aqueous solution is low and the diffusion is uniform, which will not have an adverse effect on the root system, let alone the phenomenon of reverse osmosis caused by high concentration in the local area.

Another way is to spray leaves, which has a quick response to fertilizer effect, but is easy to cause fertilizer damage to leaves. It is recommended that the concentration be controlled at about 0.5%, and the frequency of application should be controlled. And try not to spray on the bud.
