First, choose an appropriate time to change soil. Change the soil for magnolia, usually in autumn and spring. Changing soil in spring can ensure that magnolia can not get sick in summer and spend summer safely. In autumn, magnolia can produce high-quality flowers in spring.

Second, the preparation of gentleman orchid special soil. The soil suitable for the growth of Cymbidium can be proportioned according to the following methods: six parts of rotten leaf soil, two parts of river sand, one part of plant ash and one part of fertilizer. Before planting, the new soil can be fumigated with 1 ‰ carbendazim or methyl thiophanate, or fumigated at high temperature.

Third, the choice of flowerpots. When we choose flowerpots, we must choose special pots for orchids. Because the special basin of Cymbidium is relatively deep, which accords with the growth characteristics of the root system of Cymbidium. In addition, the bottom hole of the special pot of Cymbidium is relatively large, and there are air holes on the side of the flowerpot. Because of its good air permeability, the flowerpot is conducive to the growth of Orchid. The size of the flowerpot can be chosen like this. When we put the root system of Cymbidium into the pot, there is a gap of about one centimeter between the pot wall and the root system.

Fourth, the process of changing the soil of Cymbidium. The time to change the basin is when the magnolia needs to be watered. First of all, put tiles or old silk socks on the drainage hole of the gentleman's orchid pot, and then spread two centimeters thick thick ceramsite or thicker rotten leaf soil at the bottom of the flowerpot to facilitate drainage and ventilation. The gap between the roots of Cymbidium should be filled with soil. After putting the orchid into the pot, you can fill the soil around the flowerpot at this time. The new soil should be filled in several times, only a small part at a time, then compacted by hand, and then filled with new soil until the flowerpot is filled.
