With the temperature getting warmer this month, there are more Rain Water, and flowers and trees begin to sprout, which is the best time for flower reproduction and transplanting.

First, sow seeds. Annual herbaceous flowers and most flowers and trees are often sown in spring, so they should be prepared in advance, sowed in time, and covered with protective facilities such as plastic film to maintain a certain temperature and humidity to promote their germination.

Second, grafting. This month is the best time for grafting and propagation of most flowers and trees. Rootstocks and scions should be prepared in advance, grafting should be carried out carefully and carefully, and the management work after grafting should be done well to ensure the survival of grafting.

Third, cuttage. This month, the air humidity is high and the temperature is moderate, which is beneficial to the formation of cut callus and the differentiation of root system, and the cuttings in spring have a longer growth time, and the seedlings that meet certain specifications can be cultivated in the same year. Robust branches should be selected as cuttings to ensure cuttage survival.

Fourth, the transplantation of flowers and trees. Flowers and trees have just begun to sprout, transplanting has little damage to flowers and trees, and the survival rate is high, so it is the best time for flowers and trees to be transplanted. In transplanting, the damage of root system should be reduced as much as possible, and the flowers and trees that are not easy to survive should be transplanted with soil.

Fifth, watering. Flowers began to recover into the growing period, watering times and water should be gradually increased, especially for budding flowers and trees, the amount of water should be increased to promote flower buds to open.

6. Fertilizing. Flowers in early spring have little demand for nutrients, and fertilize gradually when they sprout and grow. The concentration of fertilizer should also be from dilute to dense, and the amount of fertilizer should be increased gradually.

7. Pruning. Some woody flowers that bloom in early spring, such as green peach and begonia, should be pruned after flowering to promote the germination of new branches, leaving only 2-3 bud holes at the base and the rest cut off. Grow to 10cm~15cm in the new shoot, pick the heart and form more flower branches.

8. Change the basin. In general, small potted flowers should be changed once a year, and large potted flowers should be changed once every 2-3 years. When changing the basin, we should cut off the withered branches and yellow leaves, cut off some of the aging or rotten roots, and increase soil nutrients to improve soil permeability.

9. Disease and pest control. With the rise of air temperature, the occurrence of diseases and insect pests gradually increased, we should pay attention to observation, timely prevention and control, in order to reduce the harm of diseases and insect pests to flowers and trees.
