Change the basin for the magnolia after the autumn.
After the Beginning of Autumn, the weather turned cool, the dormancy period of Magnolia ended and gradually entered the growing period. At this time of year, it's time to change the pot for the magnolia.
Changing pots has two purposes:-is that the seedlings of Cymbidium have grown up, and the small pots can no longer adapt to the development of root systems, so we should change larger flowerpots and replace new culture soil. Cymbidium seedlings have been growing in the original basin for one year, and the nutrients in the basin soil are almost exhausted. New culture soil should be replaced to ensure the supply of nutrients.
To change the soil, it is necessary to change the soil that is fertile, loose and well breathable, while the soil that is sticky and easy to consolidate should not be used. After the first ten days of the lO month, the magnolia can be moved into indoor management, and all-day sunshine can be given from now on to April of the following year. Sufficient sunshine can greatly increase the accumulation of nutrients, which is very beneficial to flowering. If the soil is fertile enough, there is no need for additional fertilizer. If the fertilizer is not enough, a secondary liquid fertilizer should be added every half month. Watering should not be too much, always keep the basin soil moist.
The air is dry in winter in the north, so you should often spray and humidify the leaves. If possible, you can create a small environment with an air relative humidity of 60% to 80%. The gentleman orchid is neither cold-resistant nor like high temperature. After entering the room, you should keep the indoor temperature from 16 degrees Celsius to 24 degrees Celsius, not less than 12 degrees Celsius. When the room temperature is low, never put the magnolia by the fire or heating by the radiator.
