Raise gentleman orchid except the fine sand that should be washed with water in the seedling stage, after going into the basin, you should use specially prepared nutritious soil, not loess or clay.

If residents cannot buy commercial potted flower soil, they can prepare it by themselves. The method is:

(1) mix 1/3 river sand with forest rotten leaf soil or grass root soil. If you can not find the ideal forest rotten leaf soil, you can also do it yourself, collect a number of fallen leaves, dig a pit and bury it in the ground, add a small amount of human feces and urine, retting for one or two years.

(2) mix rotten horse dung with 1/3 of river sand. The fermentation method of horse dung is simple and easy, as long as you dig a hole in the appropriate place to bury the horse dung and trample it with your feet for the summer.

(3) it is also possible to use horse dung, rotten leaf soil and river sand according to the proportion of 221.

In order to prevent bacteria and microorganisms in the middle, stir-fry the flower soil in a pot before use, and then serve it in a pot after cooling.

The cultivation soil of Cymbidium which is not used for the time being should be packed in a container and put in a low temperature place in the room, and do not put it in the open air, otherwise the nutrients will be lost.

The identification of soil quality can be observed from the growth of fleshy roots of Cymbidium. If the fleshy roots are white, long and stout, and there are many root hairs at the root tips, it shows that the soil is suitable, and if the fleshy roots are very dark and grow very thin, there are few root hairs on the root tip, indicating that the soil composition is bad and should be replaced in time.
