How to scientifically water and fertilize orchids
Watering orchids should grasp the principle of "not dry in summer and autumn, and not wet in winter and spring". Rain Water and Xueshui are the best water, followed by river water and pool water. Summer watering should be in the early morning or evening, in addition to keeping the soil moist, in order to increase air humidity, leaf spraying or spray should be strengthened. During the rainy season, the basin soil should be slightly dry, reduce the watering times in autumn, and stop spraying water according to weather conditions.
The fertilization of orchids should follow the principle of "suitable application of thin fertilizer". New orchids should not be fertilized in the first year. Wait until the new root grows in the second year. It is not suitable to apply fertilizer during flowering and dormant period. Extra-root topdressing should be carried out once a week, preferably in the evening.
Commonly used fertilizers are:
① rapeseed, peanut and soybean dregs were fully fermented in water and diluted to 1500 times.
② potassium sulfate compound fertilizer.
③ potassium dihydrogen phosphate was diluted to 1500 times by adding the same amount of compound trace elements.
