The water and fertilizer should be controlled at flowering stage, and the amount of water should be moderate. If fertilizer is continued, the buds will fall, the temperature should be kept between 15~20℃, and the light should be supplemented at flowering stage. Keep the crab orchids in a ventilated environment immune to pests and diseases, and prune rotten flowers and undernourished empty buds to avoid nutrient loss.

1. Control water and stop fertilizer

Flowers are delicate when they bloom and sensitive to the addition of water and fertilizer. Too much watering or spraying from flowers can cause flowers to wither, and lack of water can cause flowers to lose their luster. Before flower buds appear, appropriate thin fertilizer can be applied frequently to promote growth, flower bud formation should stop fertilizer, otherwise it is easy to cause flower bud shedding.

2. Heat preservation and brightening

It is better to keep the flowering temperature between 15~20℃. The warm environment can make the buds bloom normally and the flowers are more colorful. The plants themselves need light to nourish them, and they need to supplement the light at flowering time, otherwise the light discomfort will cause the flowers to fall prematurely.

3. Ventilation

In addition to heat preservation and enhancement, it is necessary to put the crab claw orchid on a balcony or windowsill with good ventilation environment, firstly to ensure that the flowers can breathe fresh air during the blooming process, and secondly to prevent the invasion of germs and pests. A ventilated environment has a significant deterrent effect on germs and pests.

4. Slightly trimmed

Although the flowers are delicate in full bloom, they need to be pruned slightly. The pruning of flowering period is mainly aimed at dead and rotten flowers and empty flower buds with insufficient nutrition. Pruning them in time can ensure that nutrients are not evenly distributed and lost, so that healthy flowers can absorb more nutrients.
