While Taiwan's epidemic prevention measures have attracted international attention, Taiwan's green power policy is also in the lead in Asian countries. Energy transformation has become an important policy of the Tsai government, setting green energy to account for 20% in 2025. However, in the process of policy implementation, the development of surface optoelectronics has repeatedly aroused controversy.

The 11 domestic environmental protection organizations jointly held a press conference yesterday (4amp 8) to carry out a general physical examination for the optoelectronic policy. The ring delegation pointed out that the current development model of ground-based optoelectronic facilities lacked norms and methods, and on the premise of exempting environmental impact assessment, power companies were formed to find land on their own, and power companies rushed to agricultural and fishing villages, forest land and tribal areas with lower costs. and repeatedly caused controversy.

The ring delegation also put forward five major requirements, including "giving priority to promoting rooftop optoelectronics, suspending dispute cases and implementing environmental and social reviews, county and city master plans and strengthening local communication, promoting citizen power plants to encourage citizen participation, and requiring large power users to take responsibility for the purchase or use of green electricity."

Eleven non-governmental organizations released the results of Taiwan's overall optoelectronic inspection and the five major demands-the goal of improving the photoelectricity on the roof, the establishment of photovoltaics on the ground, the responsibility of local governments, the participation of citizens in power plants, and the utilization rate of large electricity users. The Earth Citizen Foundation faces the contradiction between optoelectronics and ecology, due to the incompleteness of the site selection procedure.

Tsai Chung-Yueh, deputy chief executive officer of the Earth Citizens Foundation, said that energy transformation is an important social consensus. The optoelectronic propulsion process has problems due to improper location and lack of audit mechanism, but it has been discredited by a small number of supporters of nuclear thermal power generation. For this reason, the ring must examine the optoelectronic industry and face the problems together.

The ring delegation holds that the energy transformation is already a national consensus, and the photoelectric policy has a good intention, but the problem lies in the lack of a proper location mechanism for optoelectronic facilities, and once it is placed in the wrong position, it will lead to social conflict. it will also cause the public to have a negative perception of optoelectronics and obliterate the beauty of the policy.

Huantuan stressed that the development of optoelectronics is also the direction of moving towards a sustainable society, but problems encountered in the process, such as the development of optoelectronics at disputed sites, should be suspended and reviewed first.
