Ting Fuzhen, located on the south side of the Boai campus of Jiaotong University, has a long-term messy environment and stacked sundries, which has been criticized by the surrounding residents. Hsinchu City invested more than 40 million yuan to carry out the "Ting Fu Zhen Tongxue Trail Environmental improvement Project" in 2019, which solved three major problems, including going door to door to persuade residents to dismantle the ground, Jiaotong University flinched the fence, and successfully opened the water channel. Recently, the 1.4km trail will be completed. Mayor Lin Chih-chien shared that catching fish and shrimp in Ting Fu Shenzhen was a memory of his childhood, but later, the environment of the water channel became increasingly messy and smelly, and he led his city colleagues to overcome the difficulties over the past few decades, turning the water channel into a friendly walking green corridor and returning to the lives of the people.

Mayor Lin Zhijian stressed that "the urban water channel should be close to the public." this time, through the improvement project, the water channel should be reorganized to bring Ting Fu Zhen back to the lives of the people and the community.

Xu Zhirui, acting director of the Urban Development Office, said that the biggest highlight of the Ting Fu Shenzhen school trail project is the complete removal of the ground occupancy of the surrounding residents, and after opening the water channel, a total of 1.4 kilometers of urban green corridors are set up along the Ting Fu Town from Xuefu Road to Baoshan Road, with seats, mobile platforms, extensive tree planting and planting, especially the design of cross-town bridges, aesthetic improvement and convenience at the same time.

Director Xu Zhirui said that Ting Fu Zhen leads the front stream and flows through the Bajianshan and Xiangshan into the sea. at present, it still plays an important irrigation function, witnessing the 100-year history of the development of Hsinchu, and this project integrates irrigation channels, cultural landscapes, and science and technology campuses. in addition to bringing hydrophilicity, diversity and creating a high-quality walking environment, it also strengthens the connection between Jiaotong University and demonstrates the significance of open and friendly campus dialogue and communication.
