Three key points for the maintenance of hydroponic flowers
-pay attention to the placement
Hydroponic flowers are slightly shady, like warm and humid, and avoid high temperature, dry heat and direct sunlight, so it is suitable to be placed in a bright and ventilated room to facilitate flower growth. If there is air conditioning to ensure that the room temperature at 15 degrees Celsius ~ 25 degrees Celsius is the best.
Rational use of nutrient solution
For plants that are more resistant to high temperature and vigorous growth in summer, they can be cultivated with nutrient solution (such as green pineapple, taro flowers, etc.); with slender fibrous roots, dormant or semi-dormant plants at about 30 degrees Celsius should be cultivated with clear water (such as bamboo begonia, pineapple, etc.). There are many kinds of plant nutrient solution sold on the market, so it is necessary to choose the matching special nutrient solution produced by well-known brand manufacturers suitable for hydroponic flowers. If not, you can also choose a universal plant nutrient solution. The concentration of the nutrient solution should be prepared according to the instructions, and the concentration should not be increased at will. Under the condition that the content of a large number of elements (nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium) is not lower than the required content, the low concentration of nutrient solution is beneficial to the growth of flowers.
Third, prevent the root from rotting.
Change the nutrient solution in time, the flowers that have grown aquatic roots need to change the nutrient solution in 3 to 5 days to prevent the nutrient solution from becoming turbid. When changing the nutrient solution, it is necessary to patiently rinse the roots with clean water, remove rotten roots and truncate aging roots to promote the growth of new roots.
For hydroponic flowers with clear water quality and clear roots, shake the utensils several times a day (when shaking-hand-fixed flowers,-hand-shake utensils) to increase the oxygen content in the liquid. When planted in large containers, fish tank air supply pumps can be installed, or miniature circulation pumps can be installed to automatically change water, rely on flowing water to increase the content of dissolved oxygen in the liquid, and optimize water quality (cleaning with automatic water changers, once a month, of course, a shorter time is better).
When there are rotten roots and rotten stems, cut off the infected parts with a sharp blade, soak the rhizomes in 0.5% potassium permanganate solution for 10 to 20 minutes, rinse with cold boiled water and rest in clean utensils.
For those changed from soil cultivation to hydroponic culture, the soil should be washed clean and cultivated in larger utensils, and the water should be changed once a day. When the white aquatic roots grow to more than 5 cm, they should be cultivated with low concentration plant nutrient solution, and the nutrient solution should be changed in the next 5 days.
Plants are more prone to diseases and insect pests in summer. When it is found that pesticides must not be used for direct prevention and control, especially aerosols such as "Mianshiling" can not be directly sprayed at flowers, it is very easy to cause drug damage, and pesticides should be diluted in proportion.
