To propagate flowers, cuttings should be used to propagate flowers. The practice shows that the following methods can promote the rooting of cuttings and obviously improve the survival rate of cuttings.

First, water immersion method.

Larch, Platycladus orientalis, five-needle pine, spruce, rubber tree and other branches have oil or milk, put the mother plant in the shade before cutting propagation, cut off the cuttings 10 days later, soak in water for a few days before cutting.

Second, the method of floating on water and taking root.

Fix the insert in the gap sawed out by a small saw blade on the plastic foam, exposing 3-4 cm at the bottom to float on the surface of the water. At the beginning of 7-10 days proper shade, the future can be exposed to the sun, only in the hot noon shade. Depending on the size of the water container, change the water every 5-7 days. Generally, callus is formed in about half a month after cutting, adventitious roots are produced in about a month, and the root length is 2-3 cm.

Third, circular peeling cuttings.

In the growing season of woody flowers, the base of strong branches is selected for circular peeling, which is as deep as xylem and about 5 mm wide. After two months of excess, the callus was formed outside the incision, and the nutrients were stored in the callus. At this time, cut off the branches from below the callus, do not touch the tissue, insert it in the sand bed, and need proper shade.

Fourth, the hot method.

When cutting rubber trees, banyan trees, figs, etc., the base of the cuttings can be extended to the edge of the fire, and the milk can be sealed by high temperature before cutting.

Fifth, the drying method.

When cutting cactus, three-angled arrow, lily, aloe, etc., the cuttings will be cut in the shade and ventilated place to dry for a few days, and then sweat after drying.

Sixth, the method of soaking medicine.

The cuttage extract can greatly improve the survival rate of cuttings.

The commonly used potions are:

1. Soak the base of the cuttings in willow extract for 1-2 days, then cut.

two。 Soak the base of the cuttings in 8-15% white sugar solution for about 40 minutes, wash the incision with clean water, cut off part of the cut, and then cuttage, even if it is difficult to root camellia and rhododendron, the survival rate is more than 90%.

3. Add twice as much water with vitamin B12 injection, soak the base of the cuttings for 10-15 minutes, and then cut.

4. Soak the base of the cuttings in 0.2-0.4% potassium permanganate solution for 10-15 minutes, then cut.

5. Dilute indolebutyric acid with 200 times water (first dissolve indole butyric acid in a very small amount of alcohol), dip the lower end of the cuttings for 5 seconds, then cut. 6. Soak the lignified woody flower cuttings in the solution of 50-100 parts per million of ABT rooting powder for 2-4 hours, while the twigs or herbal cuttings should appropriately reduce the concentration or shorten the soaking time.

7. Yellowing insertion method.

Cover the woody flowers that are ready to cut cuttings with a black plastic canopy. When the tip of the etiolated branch grows to 10-20 cm, gradually lift the plastic canopy and let the plant be exposed to light. When the etiolated shoot turns green about a month after the canopy is unveiled, it can be used for cutting. The rooting rate of the tip of hairy Linden branches treated with yellowing and the cuttings taken from the middle reached 52-70%, while the rooting rate without yellowing treatment was only 40-46%. For cuttings taken from the base of unpedicled oak branches, the rooting rates of etiolated and unyellowed cuttings were 50% and 20%, respectively, and the rooting rate was significantly increased.
