After potting the orchid plant in winter, whether it is a split seedling or an orchid seedling purchased online, the time to water it depends on the temperature, humidity and wettability of the cultivated plant.

According to the conventional time of split and transplanting of orchids, it should be in early spring and autumn every year. Because the leaf buds of orchid plants have just germinated in early spring and have not yet been unearthed, the leaf buds of the same year often grow and develop into seedlings in autumn. As the temperature of these two periods is more suitable, the normal growth of orchid plants will not be affected after giving orchids in these two seasons. Soon after planting the pot, it will take the pot or enter the growth.

After potting the orchid plant in winter, we should first consider the temperature and humidity of the orchid environment. If the temperature of the orchid environment is relatively high, when the temperature is about 20 °, the plant material used for planting orchids is also relatively humid. due to the high indoor temperature, orchids planted in pots can be watered immediately. If the temperature is about 10-15 °and the plant is relatively humid, it can be watered every three or five days.

If the indoor temperature is relatively low, at about 10 °, and the plant material is relatively humid, you can water again every other week or ten days later. However, if the plant material is relatively dry before planting, be sure to soak the plant material with water to absorb enough water, and then fish out and drain the water to plant orchids. It is necessary to make the plant material contain a certain amount of water. After planting the plant, there is no need to water it temporarily, and it is not too late to water it again after a period of time. In addition, in either case, the air humidity around the place where the orchids are placed must be a little higher. You can often sprinkle water on the ground around the flowerpot to increase air humidity.

To sum up, the watering time of orchids transplanted in winter is mainly determined by the temperature of the environment, the humidity of the plant material and the air humidity of the environment. When the temperature is high, due to the large amount of water evaporation in the flowerpot, it can be watered earlier. Especially in some rooms with warm floor, we should pay more attention to watering in advance. And to separate the orchid basin from the ground, and at the same time, a water plate can be set up at the bottom of the basin. The watering time can be appropriately prolonged in a lower temperature environment. This is entirely based on the actual situation.
