Tomato cultivation is basically distributed in all parts of China. When growing tomato, its water and fertilizer management is very important, and it is the key to meet the nutrient and water demand in tomato growth. Now they all advocate the integration of water and fertilizer, so tomato planting and watering is generally based on drip irrigation. So how to fertilize the tomato under drip irrigation? Today, the editor brings you the technology of drip irrigation and fertilization for tomatoes. Let's take a look at it.

1. Drip irrigation fertilization device

Before drip fertilization, the first thing we need to prepare is the device for drip fertilization. When growing tomatoes in the greenhouse, about two drip irrigation pipes should be laid between each ridge. Keep the emitter facing up, and the distance between the emitters is about 30cm. Then the pressure differential fertilization irrigation is installed at the front of the drip irrigation pipe. Or you can use the common Venturi fertiliser, and after installation, you should also pay attention to equipped with a good net filter to avoid excessive impurities during fertilization and affect the fertilizer efficiency.

2. Fertilization method

When applying fertilizer under drip irrigation, we should take a small amount of fertilizer as the principle. Generally, after planting, water is thoroughly watered once to promote the seedlings to slow down as soon as possible. Then in the tomato seedling stage and flowering stage, can not be irrigated, should be appropriate drip irrigation about twice, each drip irrigation should increase the right amount of fertilizer. Then in the fruit expansion period, until the harvest time, drip irrigation every other week or so, fertilizing about 5kg/ mu. Finally, according to the growth of tomatoes, water separation and fertilization should be carried out once, and drip irrigation and fertilization should be stopped half a month before pulling seedlings.

3. Fertilizer selection

When applying fertilizer under drip irrigation, the choice of fertilizer is very important. We should mainly use water-soluble drip irrigation fertilizer to ensure that it will not react with other fertilizers and produce sediment to avoid corrosion to the drip irrigation system. Drip irrigation fertilizer can be self-made, or you can buy special fertilizer. If it is self-made, it can be prepared with fertilizers such as urea, potassium nitrate and potassium chloride. However, if there are conditions, it is best to be able to use special fertilizer, because the nutrient content of special fertilizer is high, and the proportion is sufficient and comprehensive. It not only contains sufficient nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and other fertilizers, but also contains a lot of trace elements, which is very suitable for the growth of tomato.

4. Fertilization operation

Before applying fertilizer, first dissolve the fertilizer in water, stir it fully and place it for a period of time. Then it is filtered, filtered and poured directly into the fertilizer tank. Fertilization is usually carried out half an hour after drip irrigation. If it is differential fertilization, the time is about 50 minutes. Avoid insufficient fertilizer or uneven drip irrigation. Then after each fertilization, continue drip irrigation for about half an hour and flush the drip irrigation pipe. After planting for one season, open the filter to discharge sewage, clean the filter screen, and clean the drip irrigation pipe in time after applying fertilizer for about 4 times.

The above just-in-time tomato drip irrigation fertilization technology is briefly introduced. That's all for today's introduction. This article is for reference only. I hope it can help you all.
