Tomato is a vegetable with very high nutritional value. It can be fried as a vegetable or eaten raw with cold sauce. Loved by many people, when we grow tomatoes, their management is naturally very important. Especially in summer when the high temperature and strong light, we must strengthen management. How do you manage tomatoes in summer? The following small series brings you the technical management of summer tomatoes. Let's take a look together!

1. High ridge planting

Many people plant tomatoes in flat or shallow furrows over summer. In addition, after planting, in order to avoid weed damage, black film will be covered, and in the high temperature and strong light environment, the temperature in the soil is very easy to rise, and when farming operations are carried out, it is directly carried out on the film. In this case, it will cause the mulch to stick to the ground and cause the soil to harden between rows. The soil permeability becomes poor, which causes the root to absorb water and nutrients, and the growth of the plant will also be weakened, reducing the speed of fruit expansion. Therefore, we must pay attention to planting tomatoes in the summer when planting high ridge.

2. Cultivate strong trees

When planting tomatoes in summer, pay attention to controlling the amount of fruit left. If there are too many fruits in the lower part of the tomato plant, it will lead to excessive nutrient consumption, easy to fall, affecting the growth of flowers and fruits in the later stage, so leave less fruit. Especially in the lower part of the plant, if the plant stem is thin, then first remove the first ear and cultivate strong trees. Then increase the amount of fruit left properly, and if the plant grows strongly, then the first ear fruit can stay about 2, the second ear fruit can stay about 3, and the upward ear can stay about 5. But pay attention to remove the first flower of each ear, do not point flowers.

3. Pruning and leafing

Many people choose to use sunshade nets in order to reduce the temperature in summer, but in this case, it is easy to lead to excessive growth of plants, tomato plant stems are also easy to become thin and weak, so chemical control should be given priority to. Chlorophyll, paclobutrazol, etc. can be used, and the concentration should be adjusted with the change of temperature and plant growth. In summer, unless the branches and leaves of the plant are too lush, which seriously affects the permeability of the plant, they can be defoliated, otherwise try not to defoliate. After the last fruit is seated at the top, there must be at least two leaf heads to head and shade the top fruit. Finally, the top cannot be completely removed to avoid premature aging.

4. Shed room cooling

As mentioned earlier, summer temperatures are extremely high. Therefore, if it is greenhouse planting, then we must pay attention to the cooling work. The temperature can be reduced by ventilation. In addition, shading and spraying are the main measures for cooling. Pay attention to covering the sunshade net at the time point of 10-15 o 'clock every day. At the same time, appropriate amount of cooling agent can be sprayed on the shed film, and water spray in the shed. If the high temperature weather continues, then small water should be poured into the ditch to do a good job of ventilation. Finally, if there is no mulching film, then after watering, it is necessary to carry out the cultivation work to avoid water shortage leading to dry soil and affecting the growth of roots.

The above is a brief introduction to summer tomato technology management. Today's introduction is here, this article is for reference only, I hope to help everyone oh!
