Fertilizer and Water Management of Lycium barbarum
In our life, we are no stranger to Chinese wolfberry, it has high nutritional value and medicinal value, good economic benefits, and in the process of planting Chinese wolfberry, fertilizer and water management is the top priority of its whole management work. So how to manage the fertilizer and water of Chinese wolfberry? Come and have a look with the editor.
1. Irrigation
Chinese wolfberry should be irrigated immediately after planting, and then irrigated again with soil moisture in 7-10 days, and irrigated for the third time after confirming the survival of Chinese wolfberry, this irrigation combined with the first fertilization, and then irrigation can be carried out with topdressing. Generally, the annual irrigation times should be controlled at 6-8 times, and the number of irrigation times mainly depends on the drainage situation of the soil, those with poor water retention capacity should be irrigated more, and those with poor drainage performance should be irrigated less. In a word, under the premise that the normal growth of Chinese wolfberry is not affected by irrigation in the year when Chinese wolfberry is planted, it can be irrigated as little as possible, which can promote the root system of Chinese wolfberry to go down and lay a good foundation for root development.
2. Fertilization
Lycium barbarum is a kind of fertilizer-loving and fertilizer-tolerant plant, especially the mature organic fertilizer has an amazing degree of fertilizer tolerance, and it has a strong tolerance to inorganic fertilizer under the premise of applying organic fertilizer. Therefore, if we want Chinese wolfberry to get high yield, we must do a good job of fertilizing. First of all, 2000 kg of organic fertilizer should be applied per mu before planting, and the fertilizer applied in the planting hole should be mixed and then planted. The first topdressing should be based on phosphate fertilizer, supplemented by nitrogen fertilizer, and deep application is appropriate, which can promote the root system to tie down to the depth, which is conducive to the re-emergence and frequent occurrence of the tree crown. The second topdressing is mainly nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium compound fertilizer, which is generally applied at flowering stage, which can not only promote flowering and fruiting, but also promote its multiple branches. The third time topdressing nitrogen and phosphorus mixed, in which the proportion of nitrogen fertilizer should be higher than phosphorus fertilizer, then applied in the fruit ripening period, in order to ensure the nutrients needed for fruit ripening, generally about 100 grams per plant.
3. Applying base fertilizer in autumn
After fruit harvest, fertilization is the basic work for a year, at this time, organic fertilizer is the main, chemical fertilizer is used as a supplement, and the amount of fertilizer applied is more than double that of hole application of organic fertilizer at the time of planting, and a certain amount of late-acting inorganic fertilizer is applied at the same time. This fertilization is best chosen before the middle of October to promote further root recovery and growth. The basic fertilizer should be applied deeply, by digging a trench along the outer edge of the crown, applying 1000 kg-1500 kg per mu, applying 3kg-5kg per plant, mixing with the soil and then sealing the pit.
The above is the introduction of fertilizer and water management of Chinese wolfberry. I hope it can help you. If you want to know more about it, please follow us.
