Some flower friends do not know how to do the rotten roots of Cymbidium in summer. Let's first understand why orchids are easy to rot in summer. The best growth temperature of orchids is 5 ℃-25 ℃. In the summer of high temperature and humidity, if the roots are not maintained properly, they are very easy to rot.

If the flower friend finds that his rotten root is rotten, knock the rotten root out of the basin, remove the soil, cut off the rotten root, wash the root with clean water, and then smear the rotten root with 5 ‰ potassium permanganate aqueous solution (you can also disinfect it in other ways, such as plant ash), then wrap all the leaves in newspaper or white paper, expose the root, and place the root in the sun for half an hour.

After the final punishment, if only a few roots of the orchid are rotten, they can be directly planted in the sterilized nutritious soil, less watering in half a month, and can resume growth after a month. If most of the roots rot, they should be planted in a basin filled with fine sand and placed in a cool place to promote them to sprout new roots. After about a month and a half, the new root grows, and the nutritious soil can be replaced for normal maintenance and management, and other media, such as perlite and water moss, can also be used.

In summer, the maintenance of Cymbidium should not only take shading, ventilation, cooling and other measures, but also control plant growth, such as no fertilization or less nitrogen fertilizer, control watering, no dry and no watering.
