The potted orchid, which has been cultivated for a year, grows very well, and several small seedlings grow from the roots. after a year of maintenance, the seedlings on the side have also grown up a lot. Recently, I always have an idea that whenever I see this pot of magnolia, it is like breaking it up.

During the 51 labor leave, I still couldn't help it. I divided this pot of magnolia into branches. Let's talk about the process of separating families to Magnolia.

The original flowerpot is too small to meet the social growth of magnolia, so we should consider changing to a larger pot to let its roots stretch and grow better. 2.

2. I hope that through the way of dividing the pot, we can cultivate new plants. as long as the divided plants survive, we can have two more pots of orchids. Why not do it?

The process of dividing the basin of Cymbidium 1. Preparatory work

First move the potted orchid to the open courtyard and put it in a cool place. Then prepare to use tools, art knives, new flowerpots and soil, clear water, potassium permanganate solution, etc.

2. Plant depotting

Before preparing to take off the basin and separate the family, stop watering a few days in advance and let the basin soil dry a little bit, which is conducive to the removal of the basin. First, gently pat the sides of the flowerpot and the bottom of the flowerpot with your hand, and then gently slide along the inner wall of the flowerpot with bamboo pieces to separate the flowerpot from the soil.

Next, use a small shovel to shovel off some of the topsoil of the flowerpot, then side the flowerpot to the side, gently holding the plant in one hand, then holding the flowerpot drain hole, and gently moving back hard, so that the orchid can be easily removed from the pot.

3. Root soil cleaning

After taking the orchid out of the basin, first clean up the soil at the root, you can gently crush the soil with your hand, and then gently pat the root system. After most of the soil is cleaned, you can wash it with water.

4. Root separation

After the root system of Cymbidium is cleaned, the root system can be arranged smoothly. Because there are three plants in the root, the root system of different plants can be arranged smoothly. Then prepare the art knife and disinfect it.

Cut off the linked roots directly, and by the way, cut or pull off each plant from its dead root, empty root.

5. Soak, disinfect and dry.

After trimming the root system of Cymbidium respectively, prepare a larger bucket, fill half of the water, add potassium permanganate solution, and stir evenly. Then put the orchid in the solution and soak it for about 10 minutes, not for a long time. Soaking the root system is mainly to disinfect and sterilize the root system, which is beneficial to the survival of planting.

After soaking, take out the plant to dry the root system, put it in a cool place, dry the water and plant it, almost for an hour or so.

6. Preparation of basin soil

New pots and soil should be prepared in advance, flowerpots should be made of breathable pottery pots, and the soil can be made of rotten leaf soil, pine needle soil, grass ash soil, river sand, and stirred evenly. Next, you can put the soil into the flowerpot.

7. The plants were put into the pot separately.

First point some particles at the bottom of the flowerpot, which is conducive to air and water permeability, and then spread the soil on the particles with a thickness of 3-5 cm. Next, take the magnolia plant from the plant, put it in the flowerpot, and put the root system on the soil.

Then fill the soil evenly around the plant, and in the process of filling, stabilize the plant and stand upright. When the soil is filled, the soil is compacted along the edge of the flowerpot. The plants of Cymbidium are less from the roots and can be planted at a deeper point. In this way, you can finish one plant from the pot, the other plants from and so on.

8. maintenance after putting on the basin

After potting the magnolia plant separately, you need to water the roots once, and then don't water them too trimming. after all, it takes a while to get over the roots. If watered too frequently, there is stagnant water, easy to rot roots.

Put the magnolia in the basin and raise it in a cool place. After a week or so, you can slowly put it in a place with bright astigmatism.

The above is to change the pot and plant the magnolia which has been cultivated for a year, and the whole process is quite smooth. I hope it will be helpful to the flower friends. Thank you for sharing.
