How to plant the seeds of Cymbidium
After the fruit is ripe, the seeds can be peeled off and sown immediately, or they can be wrapped and stored in a plastic bag. In order to enable it to germinate quickly, properly treat the seeds before sowing, soak them in warm water of about 40 degrees Celsius, and wait for about a day to a day and a half later. Put the seeds on the sand surface with the bud eyes down, cover the fine sand and spray water once a day.
First, collect seeds
When the outer skin of the fruit changes from green to red, it softens with a slight press, which proves that the seed is ripe. When it comes to harvest, pick the ripe fruit and peel off the seeds from it. You can sow seeds immediately, or you can pack them in a plastic bag and store them at 4-10 degrees Celsius. Check regularly to prevent deterioration.
Second, deal with the seeds
In order to enable it to germinate quickly, the seeds should be treated properly before sowing. Can soak in warm water of about 40 degrees Celsius, and then absorb water to expand. Almost wait a day to a day and a half, you can fish out the seeds, cool and start sowing, through this method of treatment can be 15-20 days to produce radicles.
Third, sow seeds
Select the appropriate container, select the finer river sand in the substrate, disinfect them, and then arrange the seeds on the sand surface, with the bud eyes facing down, and the seeds are about 2cm apart, covered with a thin layer of sand. Because the sand is highly permeable, it should be sprayed once a day to keep it moist. Waiting for it to grow seedlings.
